Moojo ("we", "us") is a weight-loss food and exercise planner app published at moojo.me. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you stay in control. Contact: moojoapp2026@gmail.com.
Profile: name, date of birth, sex, height, weight, goal weight, activity and fitness level, workout preferences, and any health conditions, injuries, allergies, medications and lifestyle answers you enter. We use these only to calculate your calorie target and to build personalised meal and workout plans.
Account: if you sign in with Google or Apple we store the identifier, name and e-mail address the provider shares with us. Guest accounts are anonymous.
Weight check-ins and completed workouts you log in the app.
Only if you turn on Health sync in Settings, and only with the permissions you grant: we read steps, active energy and weight to show your daily activity and keep your weight history current, and we write your weight check-ins and completed workouts back to Health.
Health data is used solely inside the app and to compute your plans. It is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties except as required to provide the service (see "Processors").
To create meal and workout plans the app sends the relevant parts of your profile (for example age, weight, calorie target, dietary style, allergies, injuries) to our server at moojo.me, which forwards them to OpenAI's API. Your name may be included so the plan can address you. OpenAI processes this data under its API terms and does not use it to train models.
Generated meal photos and exercise illustrations are stored on our server and reused for other users when the same meal or exercise appears in their plan. These images contain no personal data.
Your profile, plans and weight history are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account, and cached on your device. Generated images are stored on our server. If you use the app without an account, data stays on your device only.
Google Firebase (authentication, database, crash-free operation), OpenAI (plan and image generation), and our hosting provider for moojo.me. Each acts on our instructions and is bound by its own privacy commitments.
Meal, water and workout reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can switch each type on or off in Settings → Notifications.
You can edit your profile at any time, disconnect Health sync, turn notifications off, and delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You may also e-mail moojoapp2026@gmail.com to request a copy or deletion of your data.
Moojo is not intended for children under 13. The app adapts advice for users under 20 and never recommends aggressive calorie restriction to them.
We will update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
